AID wind turbines — effective protection of orchards and vineyards from frost
AID wind turbines are designed to reliably combat freezing of plants during night frosts. During operation, they lift warmer air from the inversion layer and mix it with cold air near the ground surface. This process of forced convection promotes heat transfer from top to bottom and ensures an increase in the temperature of the lower air layer by 50–60% of the temperature potential of the inversion.
As a result, leaves, fruits and flowers receive additional heat, which reduces the risk of damage and helps preserve the crop even in critical conditions.
